Receiving Funds

Prior to the disbursement of any funds by the OSFA, you must accept or decline your awards in MyRED. Financial aid is awarded based on expected full-time enrollment status. Disbursements may be delayed and/or reduced if your enrollment status is less than full-time.

Financial aid disbursement requirements differ depending on if it's the academic year or Summer term, as well as the student's status as full- or part-time.

Other scholarships may be available to you from outside organizations. You can apply for external scholarships and report them in MyRED. You can search for scholarships through your local community and philanthropic organizations.

College students are often making uninformed decisions regarding their finances. The National Student Financial Wellness Study found 7 out of 10 college students feel stressed about their finances. And nearly 1 in 3 students on our campus worries about not having enough food until they get money to buy more.
