After you are admitted to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, you will be automatically considered for university campus-wide academic scholarships. You can apply for additional scholarship opportunities through the Scholarship Application in MyRED due February 1. You will be considered for grants and need-based assistance if you submit your FAFSA form.
We will notify you of your scholarship and financial aid offer via MyRED, Nebraska’s online student portal.
Apply by November 1 to receive your scholarship notification on February 12. Additionally, file the FAFSA Form by February 1 to receive a comprehensive scholarship and financial aid offer on February 12. The scholarship deadline is February 1 for Nebraska students, and May 1 for out-of-state students. If you apply after November 1, scholarship offers will continue on a rolling basis after February 26.

You may receive a scholarship notification prior to the comprehensive offer being prepared for you. In order to receive a comprehensive offer, you must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form to be considered for all types of scholarships and financial aid available to you.
